Metallica docu feature set to be available in November

The 2004 documentary named ‘Metallica: Some Kind of Monster’ is returning as a digital revival and it is all set to release later in November featuring sequences which have never been experienced earlier. The docu feature was directed by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky as an extension of the band’s 2003 album ‘St. Anger’ that led the group right up to the point of disintegration.
The documentary followed the group through the 3 most troublesome years of their career, in which they dealt with addiction, fan backlash, lineup changes, personal turmoil as well as the near disintegration of the band during the making of ‘St. Anger’ album, said a Universal Music statement.
The movie was actually unveiled in the year 2004 and won Independent Spirit Award for top docu feature. The film is being re-edited to adjust to double DVD as well as Blu-Ray DVD formats. Former Pogue member Cait O’Riordan all set to play in Dublin gig

Cáit ‘Rocky’ O’Riordan, the founding member of The Pogues, plays an intimate concert with her new band named in the Stags Head pub in Dublin, this October. O’Riordan, who has also played with Radiators from Space, her former hubby Elvis Costello, and Gavin Friday, would play classics from the Red Roses for Sodomy, the Lash and Me and Rum, the Pogues’ album developed by Costello – earlier on Sunday, 21st October, at 4 pm with tickets at € 10.00.
Talking regarding her career in the last few years, Cáit told that when he was a seventeen year old Irish-London children living in a Kilburn hostel, he became a founding member of Pogues. He was dubbed as ‘Rocky O’Riordan’ and he spent the next 4 years recording and gigging.
He added that the Pogues became very successful quite fast but his favorite memories are of those little pub as well as club concerts in early days, when the disorderly energy of both the band as well as their crowd still owed as much to Sex Pistols as to Dubliners. He left the band aged just twenty and over the next seventeen years he battled depression and addiction, finally picking up his bass again in the year 2003.
Cait has also returned to school, getting a Master’s degree in Psychological Science in the year 2013 and he currently enrolled in PhD program at the UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business.

Irish music lovers takes the streets of Sligo

The Fleadh Cheoil, the best music concert in Ireland, has packed the roads in Sligo. With huge parts of the center now a large pedestrian only place, thousands and thousands yesterday parked their vehicles up to 2 kms away from the town and boarded special buses to relish sessions of traditional dance and music in dozens of bars and at each street corner.
Buskers – aged 8 to 80 – whistled, tapped and fiddled their bodhrans in mob parades along the Garavogue River banks that flows through the centre of the town. An estimated 30pc of around 350000 visitors to Sligo for the sixty third Fleadh Cheoil this week are from foreign, specifically from the United States and United Kingdom. They also include music lovers from Korea, Japan and Australia.
The fleadh school, Scoil Eigse, has been so filled that people were turned away on few days. Also, people were turned away from a special fleadh movie running at Gaiety Cinema. Bartley Gavin, the Fleadh chairman, told that the fest had been attracting people since President Michael D Higgins started it previous Sunday. Yesterday was the biggest day as of now.
The surge in the number of visitors was partly handed to it being the opening day of the competitions. This year, 3 days have been set aside for contests compared 2 in earlier years. They would end tomorrow night, but there would be other programs  including a final on Monday.

Wingmen Motorcycle Club of Savannah to host more music, reports

The burgeoning rock scene in Savannah has summed a new live music place to the developing menu of choices. Wingmen Motorcycle Club is unfolding their clubhouse on the Ross Road to public just for live music shows on Friday and Saturday nights.
Christopher Horton, a longtime Savannah music artist, has become co-director for music for the club. Working very closely with the music director of the club as well as patched member Rocker John (whose real name is hidden), Horton, a Savannah band IAMSOUND member, is serving to promote the whole new place with a singular aim as the mission.
Horton told that at present, it appears like there are a lot of new bands in Savannah. They were trying to make this the place for people to come and to be able to get their feet wet. They want new bands, guys that are ready to get out there and gig. They have called every place in Savannah and nobody knows who they are yet.
The club and Horton have now ascended with a business model which not just benefits the club, but also emerging bands in Savannah music scene. Every band is handed roughly seventy five tickets to sell for the event at US$ 5 each piece. The bands keep every proceeds from the ticket sales.
Horton added that that is the opportunity for the band. They do not have the budget to give everyone US$ 200. Therefore, if you go out and do the leg work when you are a brand new band, get out there and sell the tickets and get your name out there, that is going to be an expensive gig for you.

Burke, the ex X Factor champ, donned a tropical print suit along with a zipped front which hugged her sexy curves to perfection. Alexandra uploaded a message with her Instagram snap which says: ‘One last dip then its home sweet home.’
Alexandra has been really relishing sometime in the Maldives sun, but it has not all been sea, sand and sun as she has been getting for her huge West End debut. The singer a snap of her reading the Bodyguard musical’s script, based on the film of the same name starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston, while relishing the beach.
Beverley Knight would play the lead character till May’s end, before Alexandra Burke comes in as Rachel Marron, a vocal star who hires Frank Farmer, a former Secret Service agent, to keep her safe from a stranger.
The production is housed at Adelphi Theatre which is in London’s West End, and Burke would be starring opposite Tristan Gemmill, who continues his character as Frank Farmer.
Recently, speaking about her debut in the West End, Burke told that she is very excited. It is a real honor to even be asked to play this role of Rachel Marron. She believes that this is a new venture in her life. This is a whole new step in his career. She really wanted to see these as beautiful challenge.

Trujillo shares Orion Fest experience

Metallica has unveiled a video recap of their bassist Robert Trujillo’s weekend days at Orion Music + More festival 2013, took place recently at the Bell Isle in Detroit. Robert played 4 live shows in 2 days, that includes Metallica’s secret set as Dehaan,  Infectious Grooves reunion event.

The 8th and 9th June concert featured more than thirty bands across 5 live music stages along with a variety of on site events and activities.

Metallica, the heavy metal band, is all set to return to Singapore for a concert after 20 years on 24th August at the Changi Exhibition Centre as a part of their Asian concert tour. During the Asia tour, Metallica will also tour Korea, China and Japan. In Singapore, this will be the very first show to take place at the Changi Exhibition Centre.

Metallica was formed by guitarist and vocalist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich in 1981. Since then, this band has became one of the most commercially successfully and most influential band in the world. The band have sold more than 110 millions albums. The have won nine Grammy awards till now ans they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

Metallica to perform in South Africa

American metal rock band Metallica is all set to perform next year in South Africa. The band performed over there in 2006, but in 2013 Metallica will perform in two stadium shows in South Africa.

The event is scheduled to happen on Wednesday, April 24, 2012. Arrangements are going on in Cape Town stadium to welcome the band at the great Soccer City Complex in Johannesburg.

This big concert will be presented by 5FM’s Power Nite of MK and Rock. Robert Trujillo, James Hetfield, Laars Ulrich collectively known as band Metallica are one of the finest and commercially successful rock bands till date. Popularity of this band is always on the top. The band has sold moreover 110 million albums worldwide. Not only that, they have scored dozen of multi-platinum albums.

The Black Album which was a 1991 release. The album became one of the best sellers in the market as well as in history. Their last album Death Magnetic reached No 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart as well as in 27 other countries around the world.

The band has achieved several awards for their performance. The band won two Grammy awards and many MTV Music awards. They were also induced into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the year 2009. In December 2011, the band celebrated their 30th anniversary.

Metallica to replace Green Day at Voodoo Festival

Metallica, the heavy metal band is all set to replace Green Day at the 14th Voodoo Music Festival. Previously, it was reported that the band Green Day would call off their forthcoming performance on 27th October at the Voodoo Music Experience, scheduled in New Orleans on Tuesday. It left the event organizers with an opportunity to fill the vacant position of Green Day.

In a release, Lars Ulrich of Metallica stated that they were really excited to be a part of their very first Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. Metallica’s good buddies as well as fellow residents of the bay area – Green day had to call off their programs for the event; and now Metallica is more than ready to fill their slot in their own unique way. He added that they hope that they could fill in their shoes and make them proud.

Tre Cool, the drummer of the Green Day told that calling off events is something that they rarely do as they never wanted to hurt their rooters. They were also thankful to all the fans for being very understanding during this time.

Now Metallica is the newest addition of this music festival that already have Silversun Pickups, The Avett Brothers, Kaskade, Nas, Skrillex, Justice, Jack White, Neil Young & Crazy Horse and several other big names. The event begins from 26th October and till end on 28th October in New Orleans’s City Park.
